
Elijah Temitope Akinola is a peacebuilding professional, and researcher with over seven years of experience advancing peace education, conflict transformation, and social accountability across Nigeria. He currently serves as Head of Partnership and Advocacy at the Abdulsalami Abubakar Institute for Peace and Sustainable Development, where he leads initiatives promoting peace education, addressing ethno-religious conflict, and youth restiveness.
He is also the Executive Director at Voice of Peace Advocacy. His work bridges research and practice, having designed and led several peacebuilding and civic engagement initiatives across Northern Nigeria. These initiatives have directly impacted more than 20,000 individuals, including youth, women, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and policymakers across Northern Nigeria.
He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and is currently pursuing his PhD in the same field at the University of Ibadan.
